Uncompromising veterinary care is our aim.

We have both owned and run Wirral practices within the last decade. Chances are you may have been to see us at some point during this time! Running our practices was a passion for both of us, providing care, not just treatment for the clients and pets we met along the way.

Around the COVID crisis we both decided we needed to step away from practice ownership. Running multi-site clinics alone with young families, we found it hard to maintain a decent work life balance.

Nearly all of the practices on the Wirral are now owned by corporate companies that are managed and run for the benefits of shareholders and private equity funds. We have witnessed costs and prices relentlessly rise industry-wide and we have met countless clients struggling to afford the cost of veterinary care.

There is no doubt that vet care is more expensive than it once was as costs have risen for everyone, but we believe something different is needed. We promise to provide outstanding service at reasonable prices, along with fixed price packages to give clients peace of mind and certainty as to what treatment will cost without compromising on quality of care.

And that’s how Riverside Vets was born: Wirral based, family owned and always with the needs of our clients and pets putting first.
